And your family photos should be too.  I love capturing families in frames that evoke connection and meaning (with gorgeous light). My approach is to document your family in natural moments, capturing your dynamics and the spontaneous interactions that make your family special.  

What to expect

Most of my sessions happen in the home, but we can also choose a location that has meaning for you. I’ll spend longer than most photographers: this allows time for warming up, taking breaks, and most of all a kind of free-flowing improvisation that gets us beautiful and authentic images. You do your thing as a family, I’m there to capture it, with a little bit of guidance when needed.

choose your final package after you see your images

Every family, newborn, and maternity shoot starts with a session fee of $200. After you see the images from your shoot, you choose a package that includes only the digital images and printed memories you wish to keep. Total investment can range from $350 to $1450, depending on the package you choose. Contact me for a full menu.

FAQ

What should we wear...?

The most important thing is that everyone is comfortable and feels like themselves in what they are wearing.  Steer clear of logos and words, and bright white (off white/cream is great). Let the kids have a say in what they want to wear, it helps them to feel ownership in the process.



 

How long are your sessions?

Time frame is fairly fluid depending on how everyone is feeling and what we are capturing. I aim for an hour but we can spend up to two:  I find that this timeframe gives families the space to relax and be themselves - and that’s where the magic happens. On the other hand, we can aim for short and sweet if that better fits the needs of your family. The total length of the session will affect the number and variety of images in your gallery.

 

My home is not perfect or spotless. Should we shoot outdoors/ rent a studio?

 

I love shooting families in their own home (and in their backyards) because usually that is where everyone feels most relaxed and it's where the most meaningful memories happen.  Your home does not by any means need to be any certain way. Your photos will still be beautiful.  That said, if it stresses you out to do a shoot in your house outdoors or in studio are also great options!  I am happy to help you find a location if you feel stumped.

 

What if I want to do my shoot in a studio?


Sure! There will be an extra cost of $250 per session to rent a studio. Contact me if you would like to explore this option.

 

Do you offer print products?

I do! In fact I am passionate about printing photographs. After your session, you will have the opportunity to choose a package that includes beautiful fine art prints and/or framed prints for your wall.  Digital-only packages are also available.

 

How far will you travel?

 

I will work with you anywhere within the state of Rhode Island or Southeastern Connecticut (Mystic/Stonington area).  A travel fee will be assessed for points further afield.
